Packing for an International Move

How to pack for a UK ↔ Spain move — professionally or yourself.

Why international packing matters

A move between the UK and Spain involves a long road journey through France. Vibration, temperature changes and handling all put more stress on belongings than a local move. Proper packing is what keeps everything intact.

Professional packing

We wrap furniture in protective blankets, pack fragile items with appropriate materials, and label boxes by room. You can choose full packing, partial packing (fragile or awkward items only), or supply materials for you to pack yourself.

Packing your own boxes

If you pack your own boxes, use proper double-walled boxes, plenty of packing paper or bubble wrap for fragile items, and don't overfill boxes — heavy boxes fail. Label each box with its room and a brief contents list.

Fragile and valuable items

For especially delicate or high-value items, talk to us in advance so we can plan the right protection. Pictures, mirrors, glassware and antiques need particular care.
